I am Joseph. I launched TABASAMU Langu in Karatu, my hometown, where many people live in extreme poverty, as I did.

Help orphans and street children of Karatu and other towns in Tanzania grow safely into joyful, thriving adults.
LONG RANGE VISION
TABASAMU Langu is a respected community resource, known for its success. Starting with smiles, TABASAMU ultimately brings long-term benefits of health, learning, and joy to orphans and street children. TABASAMU Langu supports satellite centers in Arusha and other rural towns in TZ, as well as Karatu.
GOALS & FUNDING TARGETS
~ 2024 and ongoing: $700/month
Provide to orphans and street children—
Healthy snacks, cooked meals, and fruit juice and clean water between school sessions and on holidays
Basic supplies for learning in school.
(Elementary school is free, but basic supplies such as books to take home, uniforms, notebooks, pencils and pens, art and music supplies are not free.)
Basic equipment and safe spaces for for outdoor games and indoor play
~ 2025: $300/month
Staff a part-time rental space in Karatu, TZ—an interim TABASAMU Langu Karatu Center—where street children can safely eat, learn, and play.
Constitute a legal non-profit organization with the government of Tanzania.
Launch a satellite Center in Arusha, TZ
~ 2025-26 — $12,000 one-time sum
Purchase 10 acres of land near Karatu, TZ, where the permanent TABASAMU Langu Complex will be built.
